I could definetely see her as Pres. It's really about time they get a women in the oval office. Show the world what we're made of! Seriously, C. Rice is a great asset to the Bush administration. And I have to agree, the whole scowl picture thing is just how the media chooses to portray her.

Condoleezza Rice vs, Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2008? The debates would be DEVASTATING...two powerful, erudite, ideologically dedicated women duking it out for the world to see? They might even want to show them as a "Survivor" series!

Condi would take that one hands down.....

I agree Condi Rice would win that one no problem. She is in not only a position of authority but of National Security. A 'heavyweight' in positive terms, great education, good political cohorts. And technically she didn't tick anyone off like Hillary did, so she'd be a viable candidate.

Referring to the Homeland Security Department's color-coded warnings instituted in the wake of 9/11, the former translator, Sibel Edmonds, told: "We should have had orange or red-type of alert in June or July of 2001. There was that much information available." Edmonds is offended by the Bush White House claim that it lacked foreknowledge of the kind of attacks made by al-Qaida on 9/11. "Especially after reading National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice [Washington Post Op-Ed on March 22] where she said, we had no specific information whatsoever of domestic threat or that they might use airplanes. That's an outrageous lie. And documents can prove it's a lie."...

Lies, a bunch of lies. Yeah, a real good new president...
I'm so scared, we are next (Italy I mean), and just because our governs
are following these lies... "War on terror" they say...
Now who should bomb Spain to fight terrorism? Drop some more bombs in Iraq just to increase war on terror? Or maybe to Morocco since the terrorists belong to there?

Good luck to all of us.

Welcome back, Paolo. Should have known it was just a matter of time.

She said we had no SPECIFIC information. There's a difference between having some VAGUE idea that something could be a possibility and having SPECIFIC information about how, when, and where something will occur. If we had specific knowledge, do you really think our President (who, no doubt, was a target) would be sitting in a classroom reading to youngsters instead of being somewhere safe?

It's not a lie. We didn't know specifics.

If it does happen in your country you are on your own. Doubt we will help poor France out.

Socialists gained control of Spain which will result in more bombings there.

And the White House did not have specific info.

Good to hear from you Paolo. I see your anti-Bush attitude has not changed. We here in America are not counting on "luck". We intend to face the threat and no longer will we run, or bargain, or hope that it goes away. Lies? I doubt you know as much about what is happening here before or after 9/11. President Bush knew and knows of many possible threats we here in the US face. That includes "backstabbers" that comprise the EU in Europe.
