wx247...MY feeling is that they shouldn't, but....if that's what they want to do, and they are physically capable, mentally tough enough to handle it, then I don't think it should be legally blocked. I was just expressing MY view. If it was somebody close to me, I would do everything in my power to disuade them, especially in THIS situation, given SH's documented treatment of woman.

also......the fact of the matter is that woman DO lose control of their emotions at certain times of the month, fact of life. As a soldier, you have to have confidence in the soldier beside you at all times. I hope you don't view me as a chauvinist for stating this, its just a fact of life and one of those things that seperates men from woman. I'm very much a romantic and I put woman up on a pedestal, and I find nothing wrong with wanting them protected.

But again, to clarify my point: in THIS war, I don't think we should put our woman on the front.

MF, you are a true gentlemen
Not many of those left.
I voted No because I too am old fashioned in some ways still
My opinion only---not meant to cause confrontation----
I don't believe women should be on the front line, there are plenty of jobs in the military that women can do but being on the front line is not one of them
If I need to be protected------give me a MAN!!!!

As far as women on the front line - I voted yes - wish there was a maybe option - I think it depends on the situation - as for the woman who is a POW now - I don't think she is a combat solider. If women train and are capable according to military standards to do this - I say they have the right to defend their country just as the next man does.

God Bless Amercia,

Picture in my mind = "Ballet teacher with Rhino skin"...naaaawwwwww

Being trained by the Royal academy of London in ballet there is little difference between that and being in the army!!!! :D We may look like faries, but you will find very few who are not in peak physical condition or who are as tough as nails.

Now my Ex Wife...that's a different story :)

One more thought.....whereas a man will get beat, a woman will get raped repeatedly. Would you want that for your mother????

true j but its not like they want you to go to war either? thats just a bad argument. so does that mean they don't want men to fight? no. Women can do what they want.
