Sounds to me like one of the first steps in making the public aware that this is really going to happen. You know-- break the news gradually. So many have absolutely no clue.
I think that is what we're going to see and hear over the next couple of days building up to the watches and warnings.

Did you hear on TWC on the Tropical Update that Steve Lyons began by talking about the path of Frances being similar to other very powerful S. FLA storms? I'm getting nervous.
