Well, right now with Ivan looking like it wants to go a bit north of houston, I'm feeling a bit left out.

If Ivan takes a jog to the north even a little bit - it's likely that Houston would see nothing but Blue skies and humidity. And personally speaking - I would like a little rain shower over me. :rain:

And no - before someone makes the certain reply - I'm not trying to downplay the potential dangers of a Tropical Storm. I've been through Allison - I know what can happen. :eek:

Up here in Northwest Harris County, the winds have changed direction and died down.. winds are 0 mph with gusts up to 17 mph out of the south.

Winds out of the E at 14mph. I have a couple of friends who live out near Jamaica Beach. Haven't heard lately from them or how the water is out there. In Bayou Vista, it was up over most of the canal docks this afternoon, but went down to just below the top boards this evening at low tide. I myself live near UTMB on the east end. We have street flooding here (I'll have to move my car in the AM, even though I actually walk to work and shouldn't have to drive at all). :)

GDuck...I can almost say for sure that the water is on the road in Jamaica Beach...If not now just a matter of time...

Now on to Ivan...I know they say it is moving at 13mph...But it seems like it has hardly made any movement for about 6 hrs...Maybe Joe B is going to be right on this...Hope not...Last thing upper Tx coast and La needs is any type of stall...

Yup, not sure who watched what on the news tonight, but Frank Billingsley mentioned if that if the steering currents break down, Ivan could stall. As he said that, he circled his hand around and around and around over the map. Never mentioned Allison, but he didn't need to. :(

Good observation.
I don't see much movement either.

Everytime I "think" I see something that is there...Not moving...Westward jog...Blowup of convection..etc...The NHC seems to always prove me wrong...:)

So now I have to wait till the 1am discussion to find out that I am wrong yet again..LOL...

1am too late for me...as far as movement, I havent see any...almost stationary right now...weird freaken storm...
