Oh, and when does it get too cold/yucky for you to ride in the winter? How soon do you get back on the road?

1993 Harley Dyna Lowrider here. We've been all over the southern half of the country on that bike: Key West to San Diego and plenty of points in between. Gotta say our Route 66 trip a couple years ago was the best ever. Plan is for me to take Lowrider when hubby upgrades to an Electra Glide. I thought it was going to happen soon rather than later. We blew a cam bearing a couple weeks ago and hubby's eyes started sparking and jumping out of his skull: Just the excuse he needed to upgrade! Better! Faster! Stronger!

Hi Jen.
Sounds beautiful...
Now if he get the ElectraGlide, you'll get the DynaLowRider fixed, eh?
Sounds like some awesome rides you've done there.
We're gonna make it a weekend here.
'bout 20 or so of us will be running from all around FL to Inverness and then Cedar Key on saturday.
Then Sunday we'll join thousands of others for the Brevard County Toy run in Merritt Island.
We got Mustang seats last month and are so comfy!
Weather looks like it'll cooperate now.
Looked like dampness earlier.
The expected "backdoor" front has decided to wimp out.
Keep that Shiny side Up!

The Lowrider is up & running again. Bigger carb, cams, blah blah blah... As a friend of ours says, "Ain't this motorcyclin' FUN!"

I ride year round except in the rain, and not below 30.

Ah, j, you are a hardy soul.
I'm too wimpy to ride below the low 40s...and I think twice about below 50.

I need chaps!

Bikers are nice people. I work at a Health Department and we choose families to give Christmas too. The Iron Horse Cycle Club donated $1,100.00 and a bunch of toys. With what the Health Dept. donated and what the bikers donated we were able to get clothes and some furniture for our families. It was great.

Yes, I've found that they can be a very generous 'sort'.
There were nearly 30,000 bikers that donated and rode in a toy run this (and for many years before) in Brevard county FL.
It's a pleasure to be part of such a community.
