Kohl's is nothing but a glorified Walmart with the same stuff at higher prices. Target is 8% higher on prices than Walmart.

You want good prices on named brand clothes and items, shop at Burlington Coat Factory.

Or will it be "Kmear" as in "Kmear and shop!"

In Wal-mart's defense, if our own store would ever be rebuilt, I'm told I'd like Wal-mart. But our store is bulging at the seams (very overstocked), very poorly laid out and the main aisle (something thankfully Target leaves completely empty) is loaded with weekly items. Leaving just enough space for one cart on each side. So trying to walk down this main Wal-mart aisle, you're jogging over and out, standing in between these weekly specials, to allow for another customer to get by.

Quite honestly if I had the same 10 items on a list and shopped at both Target and Wal-mart, I know for certain I'd find all 10 at Target. I'd leave there stressfree. It would be challenge to find all 10 at Wal-mart and try to keep my patience at the same time.

I hear there are clean, well run Wal-mart supercenters. They just don't exist around these parts!

Mary,

I would think anymore that it would be a fire code violation having merchandise displays in the middle of a main aisle. I know the feeling, Wxbuddy....back in Roanoke Rapids before we had a SuperCenter...getting through that main aisle was truly a trying experience at times.

Eric..

It would be a fire code violation :).. There are some clean well run SuperCenters around.. I work at 1 of them and there are 3 others in the county and about to be a 4th..

We have 4 Wal Marts in my county alone.. almost 5.. and rumor has it.. by 2006.. a 6th.. Wal Mart is definitely the largest retail conglomerate or the fastest growing at least

John,

I shopped at the SuperCenter in Roanoke Rapids several times before my folks and I moved to Raleigh and it was like a breath of fresh air to actually be able to maneuver down an aisle w/out a near shopping cart collision or w/ another shopper! :D
