Sheesh. Fourth hailstorm in what... 3 weeks? 4 weeks?
I didn't see any hail here at the house this time - I think it went just south of our house. But we did get the rain and the thunderstorm!
KEYE here was showing at least 3 different rotation symbols on their radar maps during the weather related show breakins. I didn't hear about tornados, so I'm thinkin they were areas of larger hail?

Increasing tornado threat across S LA and MS. Already significant damage over MS from supercells and tornadoes. Numerous warnings are in effect.
Given 0-1 km helicity of 200 over the region and favorable dynamics along with a very moist and unstable atmosphere, continued development of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes are likely.
This is a dangerous situation with long tracked tornadoes possible.

Tornado Outbreak underway over La into MS.
Strong storm system over OK with trailing dry line from NW LA into SE TX. Moist gulf air mass is in place from SE TX into S TN with dewpoints in the upper 60's. Visible images show breaks in the clouds across much of LA W of the tornadic convection over MS and SE LA. Meso analysis shows 300-350 m^2/S^2 of helicity over C MS int he 0-1 km layer and values near 400 in the 0-3 km level. LCL's are near 600 m from S LA through much of C MS. Although 850 to 500 mb winds do not show lots of veering, backing surface winds have greatly increased to low level shear and that is the important part. CAPE of 1000-1500 with little capping over MS should continue deep development through the early afternoon as the dry line moves E.
Tornado threat along with very large hail will be maintianed across this region through the early afternoon before shifting into AL, FL and GA later today and tonight with the threat transitioning more into a hail/wind event.
This is a dangerous situation significant structural damage has already been reported at numerous locations across SC MS from tornadoes. Heed warnings and follow tornado safety rules.
