Thank you... So, if the ridge holds, upper GOM coast - correct?. If it (the ridge) slips further south and east, GOM storms may be more inclined to recurve toward the FL Big Bend area? And this is not the Bermuda high?


Essentially, yes. Now it is impossible to predict this for certain this far in
advance. The apparent trend will be for a high to be over the southeast US. Now, if this is the "bermuda high" or not has yet to be seen.

As the high moves around, and it will, the potential landfall locations
would move as well. We'll have to wait and see how the dynamic set up
in the next month to get a better idea.
