When he returns from STL tonight (or tomorrow, depending on how tired he is), I'll have him read every comment...and, hopefully make a few of his own (i.e., "I'd like to thank the Academy, my director, the cast, and all the little people I stepped on to find myself where I am today...") :roll:

Congratulations firehead /aka Coppertop. Your hard work has really paid off.

Bill, there's nothing more difficult nor more rewarding than raising a child. Sounds like you guys are doing an excellent job. You have earned the right to brag as much as you want!!!! Big (((Hugs))) to you all.

Oh, by the way, whose wearing the new boots now??

"firehead" is still wearing the not-so-new boots...in fact, he has worn them out! :roll:

He uses them now only for strength training in summer, as he runs with them on, in addition to a 30-lb loaded backpack...he can do a 6K run this way every early morning, which he will be doing all the way to pre-scheduled cross-country runs at school this August.

Can you say "focused"? :o

Congrats!!!!!! I know how rewarding it is for a child to accomplish so much. I also know how it is to have a child do "not so good." This gives me faith that the harder I work with my children, the better they will do in "our" goal for a great education.
