Hey MS people - The two most talked about landfall locations are on either side of me. That doesn't make me feel very good (queasy as a matter of fact). Oh, and who doesn't remember Georges? They said that he would take the same route toward N.O. that is being discussed for Dennis. Anybody remember that quick right turn?

Remember it HUH! I CALLED it! Honest I know... NO proof (Before Storm2k Days!) anyways I was living in Pascagoula there was No Broadband Internet back then But I wached Radar Loops on Dial up as Georges Turned North and Headed into Miss sound Headed for Pascagoula/Biloxi...All the while WLOX was STILL SAYING New Orleans I was Screaming at the T.V. THEN we lost power!... To WLOX's Defense they were ONLY giving out "OFFICIAL" tracks But it Became Obvious the Shift was ON!! It was Channel 5 In Mobile Who First Annouced a path-l/f Change and Alerted Folks In Miss. Especially Pascagoula! That said I remember Ivan Laast year was Making a Bee line towards Miss-Pascagoula and Made that Right turn as well into Gulf Shores-P'cola...You Never know If or When!

We picked up some extra water for the freezer today and will put the shutters up Saturday morning. Son said no water left at the Pass Christian Walmart this afternoon. Will top off the cars and the fuel for the generator tomorrow. We will put up the shutters on our store Saturday afternoon and then just wait. Stay safe everyone.

Diamondhead gas stations had jacked their prices up to $2.25 regular unleaded, while it was $2.07 in Bay St. Louis (edit: that was this morning). I forgot to check the Diamondhead prices on the way home today.

This morning at Wallyworld only one person other than me was buying hurricane supplies or food, but nearly all the cheap bread was gone.

I made hotel reservations in Hattiesburg last night. Already gassed up both vehicles before the price jumps up 25 cents this weekend. Still just a wait and see attitude until Dennis gets in the gulf where the models should have a little more (I hope) handle on things.
