There is land just south of I-10 in Mobile county that is 140 ft above sea level. No storm surge is going to get you

Such a blanket order is unjustified. If you live in a trailer, yes, but if you are in a sturdy structure that has survived Georges, why should you have to leave?

I'm not leaving this time (I left for Ivan) --- I remember Frederick and even though it was very scary for a couple of hours my house did not rock or shake at all. Remember Frederick was almost a Cat 4. I think we're safe in West Mobile and you'll never forget the experience of going through the storm.
