well, i wouldn't count on the picture looking exactly like that but i do think that gives us a clue to what will be going on climatologically in 2 weeks or so. that timeline actually kind of ties in to something don sutherland brought up a while back.

it looks like the cv season will be opening up around mid-august. buckle your seatbelts, it might be a bumpy ride!

I think Mark will spend thousonds putting gas in the Tahoe this year by the time it's over :eek: :wink: :lol:

It is me- the Mark Sudduth who has worked with Jeff Flock and CNN since the 1999 season- Dennis was my first one- in 1999. Since then, Flock and I have become good friends and are now both working on subscirber based sites.

Jeff is awesome- loves hurricanes as much as me....

I'm on vacation. 384 hours: I'll be back working (unfair).
BTW, I thought that the CV season was already opened by the NHC... recently.

Actually, the San Juan WFO opened the CV season...this is why they are not really in charge of that decision. :)
