Software is available here:

http://www.grlevelx.com/grlevel3/

The topographic maps have to be loaded manually, but there are extensive instructions in the forums.

There are also numerous color tables available:

http://www.usawx.com/grradar.htm

Is is by far the best radar software out there IMO. I just upgraded from the trial version to the owners' version and it's worth every penny (the trial version is good too, don't get me wrong).

Gotta run, more images later.

I'm using Miami set @ 248 NM.

If you don't have GRLevel3, try NWS Long Range Loop

You need to use the "BR248"-Base reflectivity 248 NM. You can zoom out the map using the zoom out button and see the full view.

Yep, its great. If you buy it, you get access to the support forum for owners only, where you can dowload the beta 1.1, which has more than a dozen additional, amazing features!

Is the smoothing not available in the trial version? Mine doesn't let me.

If your graphics card doesn't support smoothing, you won't get it. Go to "Help" an "About" and look at the last line. It'll tell you if your graphics card supports smoothing.

if that is the eye, it can't be more than a few miles in diameter, which means this thing could really spin up quick, particularly if it stays out in the hot gulf stream for any length of time. However, i highly doubt an eye feature that small can sustain itself for very long.

It sure looks like an eye to me... And I'm fearing the backside of this thing........... It would seem the "eye" is about the same diameter, as the distance between I-95 and the beach at Hillsboro Blvd, like 2 miles tops.

Hey Everyone:

I'm switching to thumbnails due to bandwidth, and so no more images get canned.

NOTE - when you load the image in a new window - IT IS RESIZED - So you will need to click it AGAIN to see full details.

Hope this helps.
