Agreed!

its! HYPE! =FEAR= Plywood sales and Increase in GAS prices!

NOT attacking THE public or this thread but the People some who are Hundreds of miles away from the Land fall, WHO try to COMEMERCIALIZE these storms and COMPETE FOR ratings! Awareness is one thing HYPE is ANOTHER!

I'm looking at maybe a 5 hour job of putting shutters on in the AM.
Moving inventory from one store to the other so when the power goes out (and the mall my store is in WILL turn off the power when they close the mall which they will now do since we are under a Hurricane Warning); and lost revenue from when my store is closed.

These are reasons why there is what you call HYPE.

THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF DOWN HERE FOR MANY PEOPLE.

And the Best of luck to you. I've been through no less than 12 systems and Each time the HYPE gets worse. I think the NHC's done a GREAT job keeping the Tracks/Landfall Windows as SMALL as possible. I dont think NO ONE is accusing HYPE in an Immediate L/F area. I'm suprised they Cut the Power for a TS? We NEVER lost power in Dennis and it hit 90miles east of here.
