I'm saying very similar through Day 3... and then farther north.

The thing is, with the storm 4-5 days away from the Gulf Coast, they can only make minor shifts and get away with it. If the models flip back south, then they don't have to make a dramatic shift.

I'm hoping the other models don't come into agreement with the GFDL which shows it coming right into Vermillion Bay .

It's estimated that we have approximately 40,000 evacuees here in the "Acadiana" area and, while i certainly don't wish this cane on anyone else, we certainly don't want it here.

Not to mention the fact that my pregnant daughter is 10 days away from her due date  .

Sorry. Dont know anything about that. You learn something every day? The eye roll is probably not necessary.

Ok, the eye roll is gone now. It's just that Wendy sounds like "windy".....you know....winds in a hurricane.

Sorry, the eyeroll was towards the humor being "silly" not towards you not getting it. And no offense to Cajun Jokes either, Sometimes I ROTFL and others I just eyeroll. No offense meant to anyone.

Just woke up. Yeah, I looked at the track. It looks like it takes it similar to where Lili came ashore. My brother just called from Houston (relocated there just yesterday because his New Orleans court job got damage from Katrina). He said he might have to come home already because the mets there are saying it might be coming that way. Yeah, he comes home and it might trend east and we will get it. Even if it came in at central Louisiana, we would get some big time effects because Terrebonne Parish would be on the east side of the storm. And there would be no evacuating to my aunt and uncle's to Ville Platte this time like we did for Katrina. My aunt and uncle live way, way further inland than us and lost their roof for Lili. They got hammered even worse than we did here for Lili.

Lili was terrible for us here in Vermilion Parish. We saw her strongest winds here. I don't care to see Rita in the neighborhood. It's been three years since Lili and things are just back to normal at my house.

Sorry, the increased solar activity and resulting photonic bombardment of my frontal lobe inhibited my ability to read your mind. That's it, time for my new super space age samurai tin foil lined helmet...
