I voted 2 majors in July because they were within weeks apart and hit the same area (not same place but close)

Also, because I've never been glued so much to the TV during a single month watching hurricanes and the devastation they created.

How about the year ending with a little storm in the middle of nowhere that despite climatology, SST's, shear and dry air strengthened and even humbled the experts of the NHC this morning. The year started weird it ended weird and there are so many memorable moments, systems and comments about it we will need the full six months before next season to just review them all.

I would not be suprized if our storm looped south of 20 then turned westward across the Atlantic.

And you could probably add last week's Canary Island surprise, from Delta. This was the first tropical cyclone in recorded history to strike the Canary Islands, and caused 7 deaths, widespread power outages, toppled trees, and even took down a many-thousands-of-years-old natural monument of stone which was a national landmark. It also made landfall in Morocco, causing sporadic structural and tree damage and flooding.
