A super season, IMO, should be any season with an ACE of over 200, or having more than 18 storms.

anything with over 20 should be a super season

anything with over 27 should be called just plain insane

Have to concur with Wxmann here. I think there'll be a lot of disappointed 'cane watchers in 2006. (Except for that BIG one I'm predicting will affect somewhere along the Atlantic East Coast this year) I could be VERY wrong on this, as it is obviously a hunch; but I call it an educated "hunch" and I guess we'll all just have to sit back and wait and see.

The facts are this.
1. we have a La Nina now
2. predicted to last through the 06 TS season
3. La Nina is comparable to Neutral in terms of activity
4. sst's anomalies are still up there in Alt, though not as much as earlier
5. we are in Feb and racing towards spring.

Given these facts, I believe there will be an active 06 season. Close to 05? I don't think its possible but more along the lines of 18/9/4. :D
