I'd say yes to Green Day and no to Jessica Simpson.

Green Day is great. Jessica Simpson can just march herself and her boots right on outta here. yuck. can anyone explain the appeal there?

I agree, they were horrible, Green Day would be great but all we would hear would be bleeps from the censors.

lately, it seems like the pre-requisite for a halftime show is how rotten they can make it. just go back to marching bands. and next time have a military choir sing the national anthem.

How about Elton John? I heard he does great live shows.

Or Gloria Estefan. I think she'd do a good job.

My daughter Laura, 15, would love it if Sir Elton John would perform! He's one of her faves, after John Lennon of course. She's into current artists too (or I should say younger, EJ is current too). I should add she plays piano (hence the EJ interest).

Amen. There's not a person alive that will make me change the channel faster than Simpson and her crappy commercials. I weep for "Boots" because that used to be a favorite song of mine. Nancy Sinatra should have smacked Jessica upside the head for that one.

My brother was in the Navy, stationed on the Kitty Hawk, during the Vietnam War. Nancy Sinatra put on a show for them and sang These Boots are Made For Walking. To this very day, he still talks about that performance! I'm guessing this goes back to the mid 60s?

Jessica Simpson married a hometown boy and we Cincinnatians can't figure out what Nick sees in her either! Or saw, I should add. At one time he toyed with running for mayor or political office. Most groaned when reading that - imagine Jessica Simpson being a politician's wife?

Mary

:roflmao:
Not a pretty picture. She is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
And I am sure there is a flock of girls waiting for Mr. Hottie
Nick. I never knew about the running for Mayor. Makes him
even more appealing. :P :P
