Debbie,
I, too, offer a praise that this condition was discovered before a heart attack! Your are correct, he is very young, and not the usual "suspect" case.

Do not be discouraged, despite what you have been through. I will pray for comfort and courage for you, too, as you support your husband through this.

**** Please let us know what time Wednesday they will do the procedure, so we can be praying specifically while it's happening. ****

They are starting the procedure at 12:30. They said it will take about an hour and a half then he has to lay still and quiet for 6-8 hours. If he ends up needing a stint then everything changes because they will put him in an ambulance and take him to the next town over (about 30 miles) to a heart hospital to put the stint in. Ormond memorial hospital (outside Daytona Beach) is one of the best heart hospitals around.

SweatPea,
Thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear you are close to Ormond Memorial. From everything you've said, sounds like your husband is receiving excellent health care.

sweetpea - have you in our thoughts and prayers and extra coming on Wednesday for you.

Thanks for the info too - made an appointment for my husband despite his protest - his symptoms are eerily the same as your husbands. Some days he is just so pale, no energy and then when he exerts himself he just gets so breathless ( such as lifting maybe only 20 lbs., etc.) Complains of being so so tired. He is only 42. If he could he would sleep all the time on his time off.

Once again you are in our prayers.

I am so glad you went ahead and made the appointment for him. Better that you find out now when they can take care of it then later god forbid something happens. Let me know how it goes. Good luck. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I will update either Wed night or Thursday sometime depending on how it all ends up.

Just got back from the hospital. He is doing fine. They say he has a slow flow of blood going thru his heart. Need to do some research on that. He MUST quit smoking and we have to get his cholesterol down. The Doctor said if he doesn't quit smoking it could be 1 year or 5 years but he WILL go the same way his father did. (died of massive heart attack at 45) We just need to keep monitoring his blood pressure and cholesterol. The doctor said if we do as he says it should be 10 to 15 years before he has any problems. Thank you everyone for all your prayers. Debbie

Oh Debbie, thanks for letting us know he did OK. That is such wonderful news!! Glad he heard it directly from the Doctor, about quitting smoking. It's very difficult, I know!
God Bless you and your whole family!
