Not that i am huge JB fan but one of his analog years is 1996 and in 1996 hurricane bertha formed further east than any hurricane at that time of the year so if these waves persist and wind shear lessens then who knows what might happen

Once these waves get north of 10N, then it looks to be a go for an active season. Atlantic shear is very low right now and sea temps. are warm...the CV season could begin as early as late June/early July.

I would think it could get started as maybe as early as mid july but any earlier would be a real surprise for me personally.Not saying that its impossible but doubtful IMO
