Nothing else is highlighted. I tried the broadband again, and it says, "Your broadband connection should be configured and ready to use" but it doesn't work.

I've been clicking on "setup" because the "add" option is under dial-up. There's also a LAN connection option at the bottom.

I had whatever IE6 came on this computer when I bought it last year as I immediately downloaded Firefox and have been using that. I wonder if Microsoft has a phone number as all email support I've ever tried never seems to address the problem correctly. It's usually a form letter for something other than what my problem is.

I do have RoadRunner.

Can you go to IE and download it now thus overriding the FF and IE becoming your new Browser?

I'm not sure what you mean. I have downloaded IE7, but I can't connect to the internet with it. My plan is to use IE instead of Firefox, but I just can't get it to connect. It doesn't make any sense. I can't get rid of Firefox yet, or I wouldn't be able to connect at all. I shouldn't have to either. Having Firefox should not affect IE working.

Off topic, but no problems with the latest Firefox updates and a new computer (which helps bunches). IE still is riddled with security holes so I'm shying away from that browser as much as possible.

Back on topic, I viewed the models and nah, ain't happening. The blob near Honduras has better odds, but beyond that, I think and pray we might get a relatively quiet July.

But August, Aycaramba....

It was my firewall. For some reason, it didn't pop up asking me to allow it. I just thought to check my firewall because I didn't see it in the taskbar at the bottom right, and when I opened it, all the little windows started popping up saying IE had changed, etc. asking me if I wanted to allow it. It usually does that at the time, so it didn't occur to me it was my firewall. Thanks for the help!!

Sorry about the off-topic guys...I'll move these later. I'm gonna be late for my grandpa's birthday party if I don't leave now.
