Live at the San Diego Comic-Con: ABC's 'Lost' - Transcript of the Lost panel w/producers at Comic-Con last weekend.
WARNING: It may have spoilers. The producers gave general hints of things happening next season. Nothing that was already known here, I think. The only new item was the title of the season premiere.

Found another Lost article. Kate makes her decision, romance wise. Who will it be? Oh the suspense!!!! I'd choose Jack, big-time. But other fans think she's more suited for Sawyer. He is tempting. But Jack's my favorite, from as soon as I started watching.

Lost, Housewives Up the Hottie Factor
Lost has found its new hunk — and you read about it first in the Ausiello Report. Rodrigo Santoro, described by some as "the Brazilian Tom Cruise" (minus the saltando en sofas) is joining the cast this season in — wait for it — a mystery role. For as many details as the Lost boys are willing to share, click here. Desperate Housewives, meanwhile, has cast Edie's "sexy, bad-boy nephew," and he will be played by Josh Henderson (aka Bo on FX's Over There, and soon to be on display in Disney's Step Up!). But is he young enough to bed Gabrielle?

The complete Lost scoop:
Exclusive! Lost Snags "Brazilian Tom Cruise"
Lost has found its new mystery man — and you're reading about it here first! Rodrigo Santoro, best known to American audiences as the hot dude Laura Linney crushed on in Love Actually, is joining the cast this fall. I know what you're thinking, "Rodrigo... Whatchoo Talkin' 'Bout Willis?" That was my initial reaction, too. Well, the 30-year-old actor may not be a household name here in the States, but there apparently is no bigger movie star in Brazil than him. Don't take my word for it though. Read on as Lost boys Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse proudly discuss their latest find.
I have to admit, I'm not all that familiar with Rodrigo's work.
Carlton: You haven't seen Carandiru or Behind the Sun or Brainstorm? You're a little behind the curve. (Laughs) Rodrigo has won, like, eight best actor awards, including the first ever best actor award for the Brazilian Academy of Arts and Film. He's a huge star in Brazil.
Damon: He keeps getting described to us as the Brazilian Tom Cruise.
Carlton: Although we like to refer to him as the Brazilian Russell Crowe. He's also the mystery man opposite Nicole Kidman in those Chanel commercials that Baz Luhrmann directed, and the surfer dude in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. He was the hunk in the beach scene with Demi Moore.
Damon: The ladies like it when he takes his shirt off — not to say he'll be competing with Sawyer in that category.
But the hunk thing must've been a big factor in his casting.
Carlton: Only so far as there's going to be a certain expectation for the character based on his looks.
Damon: On [Lost], what you see is never what you get. We also think he is an incredibly talented actor. He's a guy who's perfect for Lost because he's a face that the American audience is not familiar with, but he's been in the business long enough, you know, [that he's also] an awesome actor that makes some really interesting choices. And he's certainly not interested in being the hunk on the show, nor are we interested in writing that for him. Although I think when people start to see him and surmise what role he's going to play on the show that's the place they're going to go to. "More eye candy for Lost!"
Carlton: We don't really want to be at all specific about what we're doing with the character or what he's going to play. Part of the surprise and the enjoyment of watching the show is sort of getting a chance to meet a new character and see how his role is going to unfold in relation to the rest of the cast.

The rumor is that his character will be part of the "outside world" (off the island) cast along with Penny.
In other rumors, there are rumors that Henry Ian Cusick and his family are moving to Hawaii. This could mean that Desmond could become a semi-regular or regular by the end of the season. But then again, there are rumors that '24' producers want him back for Season 6 and living in Hawaii is an easy way to accomodate both shows.

"Lost" Adds One More
By Gina Serpe 2 hours, 46 minutes ago
Elizabeth Mitchell, best known for playing Kerry Weaver's
ill-fated girlfriend on ER, has signed on as a series regular for the upcoming third season of Lost.
(SPOILER ALERT: What little information has been released on the character could upset
particularly fickle and/or dense viewers.)
Producers, as expected, have kept mum on details of Mitchell's character, divulging little more than her name--
Juliet. However, the Hollywood
Reporter claims the 36-year-old will act as a love interest for Jack (Matthew Fox), possibly dismantling
the two seasons-strong love triangle of him, Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway).
Earlier this week, writer-producer Damon Lindelof earlier said there would be a resolution, with Kate making her
decision between the would-be beaus within the first six episodes of the season.
And with Mitchell aboard, it seems like the good doctor just might lose out.
Still, it's unknown whether her character will be a hitherto unknown Oceanic Flight 815 survivor, a new castaway,
an Other, a member of the off-island world or simply someone who appears in flashbacks--but since she's
confirmed as a regular addition to the cast, the latter is probably unlikely.
And while clue-hungry viewers might be quick
to associate her character's name with images of doomed love, producers have yet to confirm the depth of her
relationship with Jack--if there is such a relationship.
Though it's looking fairly likely.
"I wouldn't call it the season of sex, but I will say that romance will play a much more
active part of the show this year," writer-producer Carlton Cuse told TV Guide. "That's definitely on our agenda."
Mitchell is the second new addition, joiningRodrigo Santoro.
Earlier this week, producers announced that the 30-year-old actor, dubbed by media to be the
"Brazilian Tom Cruise," was joining the show, though in a regular or recurring capacity was unknown.
Cuse again played coy when discussing the Love,
Actually star's character, failing to disclose so much as his name.
"We don't really want to be at all specific about what we're doing with the character or what he's going to play,"
Cuse told TV Guide. "Part of the surprise and the enjoyment of watching the show is sort of getting a chance to meet
a new character and see how his role is going to unfold in relation to the rest of the cast."
With the castings of Rodrigo and Mitchell, it's
two down, one to go. Earlier this week, Cuse said that three new faces would be joining the show next season--
two females and one male.
Of course, landing the gig is no guarantee of small-screen longevity. Of the three full-time cast members added
at the start of the show's second season, only one made it through the year alive.
The J.J. Abrams-penned third-season premiere, "A Tale of Two Cities," airs Oct. 4.

One more item: Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) and Michael Emerson (Henry Gale) will be "regulars" (vs. recurring roles) for Season 3.

Mary - curious question here.....are you a Jack or Sawyer fan? Or both?
It's been Jack for me, from the start. But if Jack were say bumped off - yikes, I hope that never happens - then Sawyer would be my next hottie fave. One of the writers has come out and said Sawyer was patterned after Hans Solo. I can see that. Definitely.
But what I don't like is another brand new hottie showing up. Faux Henry - pfffftttt, what a weasely guy. Desmond - my daughter and I said he looked pretty good cleaned up in backstories, LOL. Still nothing to get all hot and bothered about though. Charlie? Well, I'm not so sure what Evangeline sees in him (real life), there's got to be something there, he's got that rock star thing going, but as Kelly would say, Charlie isn't a Bon Jovi....he he. Jin's handsome, I'll give him that, but if you know what I'm getting out is this - we have two hunks on the show. And now we'll have a third - sigh! Not so sure I want to share our island mirror with a Tom Cruise type. Sawyer better watch that little couch he's put together from plane seats.......he he.
Before I continue down this path and make so sense, if I've made any at all, I'll stop!!!!
Can you tell I miss Lost? LOL

I like both of them. I get sorta ticked at Jack when he takes his "holy-er than thou" attitude (I work with too man doctors with that attitude) but Sawyer acts so mean sometimes I could squeeze his neck off sooooooo all in all....I would take Jack after I cut him down to size on put his feet back on God's green earth for a while. I don't know that the "new guy" is actually going to be on the island, it didn't really say out right.....may be so, who knows.............
and YES I CAN TELL YOU MISS LOST, probably as much as the rest of us!

TV Guide has a Lost poll up today (link will change soon). They ask which character should die next season. I wanted to vote for no one or none. That wasn't an option!
I went with Eko. Didn't see Faux Henry on there anywhere. He would have had my vote.

I'm torn, some like spoilers but I prefer not knowing spoilers.
Perhaps a simple - spoiler alert - or - may contain spoilers - is enough? I see your point though OTown.
