Keep in mind this also closes the Stock Market. This will be the first 4 day close since 9-11.

I'm over 30 myself, tho just barely. ;)

It doesn't really matter how long ago they were president (presidents don't "serve", IMHO). It's silly to close the government when a former president dies.

I think every president is entitled to a day of mourning and a state funeral.
i recall getting the day off for Nixon's funeral as well (1994) and we were in Germany on a govt trip when Reagan's funeral was held.
