TheShrimper wrote:Heather, I beg to differ. Granted, South Dade doesn't have the ambiance of the locales further north, but the quality of food is unrivaled and I have eaten at numerous establishments down there. The best Italian and Mexican I have found is a stones throw away from Keys Gate, on Krome south of Mowry. You know the establishments. The best breakfast I have had in a long time, was at the Chuck Wagon a little further north on 1, just past Wal Mart and across the street. As far as seafood is concerned, a 30 minute drive will get you to Alabama Jacks on Card Sound, and even further to the fine eateries in Key Largo. Yeh, the glitter is not there, but the food quality is. TheShrimper.
I totally agree with ya shrimper - the Italian & Mexican places over on Krome are top-notch....I think we just like variety and places to "go out"...places nearby with some live music and good drinks without spending a lot of money. We've gone to the Mutineer some lately, so that works, but variety is the spice of life

P.S: Heather - he was talkin' to me - my name is also Heather
