The gathering consisted of fci, his son and me.I would have to assume that gatherings will be a thing of the past.

Sheesh! That's awful. I got stuck working late and then I got caught in several rain squalls.....I figured it was too late and too far to drive down to McGuiness's.

I'm not declaring the concept dead. How's this.... I'm going to pick a place here in Boca Raton or Delray and then between me, you and fci we'll come up with a Saturday night in November that works for all of us.....then if anyone else can make it great, if not, oh well.

The November Gathering will live........even if it's just us!

I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I got hit with a bad headache towards the end of the afternoon. I wouldn't have been any kind of company last night ...

I hope it's not the end of the gatherings - I had fun at the last two.

It was too far south for me this time. And before that, I had my in-laws visiting. I keep on trying to make it to one, but further south than Boca is hard. As well as getting permission from my wife.

McGuiness's is no more. It is now a steak house and did not have the specials that it had last year. Food was good though and my son and I enjoyed having dinner with Boca.

If we can make it next time we will try and it needs to be in Palm Beach County close to home.

I totally agree that we'll make it closer to home! I'm thinking about Saturday, November 10. Sound ok? As for place - well, there's always the Bru's Room in Delray Beach and then a few places in Boca that could be satisfactory too.

I feel so bad about Saturday night...if it had been closer I would have been able to make it when I left work. Next time......I missed you guys.

One question about the new format at McGuiness's-did they still have my favorite drink? :D
