Looks like a bit of a cold-core eye near 50 N and 180.

Thanks...Alaska has some really awesome weather events. I've backed away from posting images from the big lows unless it's something really purty (read West Virginian for pretty). But as soon as something really big comes up I'll start posting again!

We now have 1-2 lows in the 950 to 980mb range pretty much constantly coming off the Kamchatka Penn. By November / December we'll average 3 across the chain with hurricane force winds.

**NEWS FLASH**
Snow on top the mountains (the low ones)! And helio pilots reporting snow at sea level on the south end of the island!
