Just some hit and miss showers down here, I think the heavier stuff will arrive overnight and early tomorrow. The strong south winds have created a decent surf, some wasit high sets coming in.

NWS seems to be down, all of it. Main page won't even come up. What a great time for this to happen.

The Lake Charles and Houston NWS sites are giving me trouble right now. They take forever to load, if they load at all. The radar loop I have going is working fine though. This just started a little bit ago. *sigh*

Parts of it are also giving me trouble, sadly. The Memphis radar has been screwy off and on all day.

Man, it just got completely dark fast. It was already starting to get a little dark because it'll be night soon, then really dark clouds came over us and it went pitch dark within a couple of minutes. I can see it a bit lighter off to the east. Lots of thunder and lightning and it's starting to rain again.

Everyone, take a look at Lamar county in Mississippi, just SW of Hattiesburg. GRLevel3 indicating a TVS, obvious rotation and the shape of it almost demands a tornado warning. I don't know what Jackson NWS is waiting on, but it looks to me like Purvis is about to get a tornado. No warning out on this as of right now.

Finally they issued a SVR. They note the rotation in it too. I don't know why you don't go ahead and just issue the TOR. Still 50kt gate to gate. It's got a nice hail core too.

Heh well I would be a pretty bad meteorology major if I couldn't see that storm demanded a warning. Luckily it's gonna miss Hattiesburg.
