AN AREA OF WEAKENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING ST.
PETERSBURG BEACH WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR MULTIPLE WATERSPOUTS
OFFSHORE...AS THIS STORM MOVES ONSHORE...EXPECT HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY
WINDS...AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING. ELSEWHERE A CLUSTER OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST THROUGH HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY AND
WILL AFFECT AREAS NEAR GIBSONTON...BOYETTE...AND LITHIA WITH HEAVY
RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN KEY WEST HAS ISSUED AN

* URBAN FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
UPPER KEYS IN MONROE COUNTY IN FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 1000 PM EDT

* AT 807 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES OF THREE TO FIVE INCHES OF
RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER NORTH KEY LARGO AND OCEAN REEF. ADDITIONAL
HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS THESE AREAS AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED
AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...AND STREETS AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE

1628 75 KENDALE LAKES MIAMI-DADE FL 2571 8042 DIME SIZED HAIL WAS OBSERVED AT 122ND AVENUE AND CORAL WAY. (MFL)

I live in 118 Ave & 26 terrace. Coral Way is the 24th st.

The news said there was a water spout off of John's Pass today....pretty close to where I am 10-15 mins.

We are getting pounded in Northern Pasco Co. right now. Very heavy rain, lightning and some pretty decent winds. What timing, I have to be up and head out for an 11 hour roadtrip @ 5am! :cry:

With all the rains, at least the temperature was kept down a little in spots. Miami's high of 85F was the coolest daytime high in 19 days... since May 30 when it was also 85F.
1.76 inches at the airport, but in excess of 2 1/4 inches in West Kendall.

Yep more shower and storm activity pushing into western Florida right now though I note that central parts don't have that much in the eway of rainfall to access to the SW.

Oh a tropical storm force gust then!
Also 0.75 inches is a nice decent rainfall should expect more as well over the next 6-12hrs I should expect.

We should see more showers later today. Right now they are concentrated mostly over southern Florida and the Keys.

Right now the temperature is 74.4°F. The high today so far was 76.2°F @ 9:03 AM. Low temp was 70.0°F @ 10:11 AM.
