1/2" yesterday. According to the NWS this morning it sounds like we should start getting the regular afternoon/evening thuderstorms beginning Tuesday. 8-)

A RIVER FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE MANATEE RIVER AT
MYAKKA HEAD...

...HEAVY AND PERSISTENT RAINFALL YESTERDAY AND MORE RAIN FORECASTED
TO RESUME LATER TODAY HAS CAUSED THE RIVER BASIN TO REACH FLOOD
STAGE. THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO STAY ABOVE FLOOD STAGE AND CREST AT
12.3 FEET BY 2 PM.

DO NOT DRIVE CARS THROUGH FLOODED AREAS...

* FLOOD STAGE IS 11.0 FEET
* THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE RISING TO NEAR 12.3 FEET BY THIS
AFTERNOON. THE RIVER WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE TOMORROW
MORNING.
* IMPACT...AT 11.0 FEET...PRIVATE ROAD AND BRIDGE 1 MILE DOWNSTREAM
FLOOD. AGRICULTURAL, RURAL KIBLER AREA BEGINS TO FLOOD
* FLOOD HISTORY...THIS CREST COMPARES TO A PREVIOUS CREST OF 12.3

Tampa FL got a soaking Saturday, 3.08 inches a new record for June 21.
The high temp. stayed down also due to the rain, with a high of just 83F.

Looks like today the main area for rainfall is going to be from central Florida up through to northern Florida. Looks like a decent line of showers/storms moving into northern Florida and the eastern Panhandle region right now.

...LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVING ONSHORE WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA...

AT 230 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE
OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM NEAR INGLIS TO 20 MILES WEST OF CLEARWATER
BEACH. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL
AFFECT NEW PORT RICHEY...HUDSON...HOLIDAY AND TARPON SPRINGS...UNTIL
400 PM EDT. GUSTY WINDS UP TO 40 MPH WILL OCCUR. FREQUENT CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING IS EXPECTED. TAKE COVER INSIDE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE
UNTIL THE STORMS HAVE PASSED. IF CAUGHT OUTSIDE...CROUCH DOWN IN A
LOW SPOT...AWAY FROM TALL OBJECTS. VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL OCCUR WITH
RAINFALL TOTALS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH THE STRONGER STORMS.

I guess thats for the line of thunderstorms in the north-eastern gulf thats coming ashore now?
The front line of that line of cells look pretty intense!
