Hanna sure is blowing by the NHC forecast points, correct me if I'm wrong each one is 12 hours. Hanna sure is not stalling.

this storm is producing very large waves already (has had a good wind field for days) and could produce a large surge IMO later in the week

my biggest concern is in the carolina's with wind and surge as of current thinking /models/trends/climo

Does that mean Hanna has a chance to go right through Florida?

No Captain, relax, it's just a neat observation of the lower level winds. :)

OK, upon better look on visible the cloud top center is near the first trop point at 22.9N-72.8W Direction is mostly west so if the center is co-located with the LLC it is mostly west.

The frenetic wobble of the CDO is most likely intensification jerks. Which would be likely with those cold tops.

Whether coincidence or not - when Gus was strong Hanna was weak and when Hanna was strong Gus was weak.

Just goes to show what can happen in a short time. When I left for work Hanna was a 50mph tropical storm and now she's a hurricane. Hopefully she doesn't intensify too much over the Gulf Stream before heading inland.

recon fix's do NOT support westward motion.(SSE/SE drift) .....also she is steady state as of last couple hours

also her NE side is building convection as it is out of the gustav shear streak (that is over the west 2/3 of storm)

More concerned about her slipping under Florida and transiting into the Gulf of Mexico. Trend of the UKMET is west, and that model has been pretty good so far this year. I just wish someone would explain to me how she's going to transit north? I thought there was a blocking high in place along the east coast.

Because We need rain It will not come my way. I can put a steak dinner on it.
But My mom told me last week that Tx needed rain they got it. Fl need rain they got it.(I think the did) NOW we need rain for the past 2 years now. She said we may be next in line. I hope she is right.
I still having a hard time buying the Ga-SC hit. If I had to say I would put the Middle to upper part of SC would be my best guess. Come on Hanna we could use your rain big time.
Yes I know you are all tried of hearing that.

Talking about food it is time for good old NC BBQ Chicken. Later

If this thing ever really starts to develop significantly with a clear eye, it will be monstrous. Not only could it eat Florida, it would eat any chunk of the East Coast it decides to hit.
