Re: ATL: ISAAC - Models
Ugh...West on the EURO, a smidge East on the GFS...The battle rages on and we have no consensus at the moment. We need that G-IV data in the models badly. Haven't seen Chris Walken on here in a while but...

Well Issac moving into the gulf by 96hrs, quite a noticeable shift to the west of this systems track.

So the GFS is initially more north and east in the mid term but then ultimately more west in the long term?

Not so sure about the western peninsula at all on this run, need a few more frames to confirm...

These runs are getting crazier by the minute...I must say though that this GFS solution seems plausible if the ridge indeed builds back in. If it indeed pans out this way it will be one of the more interesting tracks in history.

I don't think anyone has said that TX is out of the question. Still way too far out and too much model disagreement to say any place along the Gulf is out.

Well it goes from being further east than the 12z GFS, to being a fair way west of that run.
Pretty unusual track, sorta like 1900 Galveston type track but turning a little later and further east. I've gotta say I've not seen many examples of it though.
