So by tomorrow morning our cold will be sprinting down the plains, and by Thursday the front rolls through? Will there be enough moisture for flurries? Going to be in Dallas to see family tomorrow night so I hope weather conditions aren’t a problem

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

Wind Chill Watch is about as much as you can be worried about. Can’t rule out a flurry but given the super dry air don’t think we’d get so much as a flizzard.

Yeah barring some south shifts I'm not even sure very far south of here gets a flizzard unfortunately. The trends have been rough. I mean even here there have been model runs today barely showing a flizzard and at one point we had a full fledged snowstorm :spam:

The only spot in Texas that does not have a WCW is El Paso

Far SE Texas has a Hard Freeze Watch but no WCW. Kind of semantics really, its gonna be cold.

The Watch Warning maps from '21 are still my favorite all time with every single Texas county covered with big time stuff.

Huge forecast bust today

The High was 39°F at 1 AM, and the highest afternoon temperature was only 32°F at 12:50 PM.

The High today was expected to be 42°F

So my son is flying out of Chicago Midway on Thursday at 2 pm. Odds that he gets out? Obviously Chicago airports can handle snow and de-icing, but it still feels dicey.

Last I checked Chicago was in for some serious weather. Things could have changed. Check out the forecasts from Tom Skilling in Chicago.

Airlines have already waived change fees and even offering vouchers to get off certain flights. I even heard the Chicago mayor say they were going to have cots for the airports. I would get out early.

Yeah, he was originally booked for Friday and I got him moved up this morning. But there were no seats on Wednesday and he drug his feet long enough this morning that early afternoon was the best option.

I'm not sure if that's busting. What's the margin of error plus or minus

Can't find it for some odd reason, the temperature briefly rebounded to 27°F before continuing the drop, currently 26°F.

If his low was forecasted to be 28°F by tomorrow morning and it was already 26°F by 7:30PM with CAA in place, then yeah, I’d call that a bust.

For Northern and Central Oklahoma it was a bust in my books by the GFS and Euro which over the weekend had them in the 40s today because W-SW winds above is a warming one. Thus the forecast. Of course the cold air decided who freaking cares? OKC did not get above freezing.
