checked buoys for fun...same ole story from yesterday...pressure falls / high winds...no west wind...interesting to see what this influx of moisture does streaming in from the SGOM...

95L is feeding are non-invest / non tropical wave here. you can see mid level clouods streaming up towards the coast. I think its helping maintain convection tonight. I also think it looks better now than the past few days at this time.

if it does establish a COC it would be interesting to see the interaction as 95L passes to the south.....does it sling shot 95L more up the coast of MX? and our disturbance to the south? fun times....

nobody said it was organized but the fact that it held up during D-min is something it failed to do the past few days.

greatest vort is now is around High island...which is that naked swirl heading west towards Galveston....

The pressures are still high in the northern gulf but the showers in the panhandle are moving from east to west. This is probably due to the high north of the area.

I think we have storms in the area that have varying winds. I just checked multiple buoys across the area and out into the GOM and the winds are too variable and most are SSE,SE or ESE. Radar does give an impression there could be a mlc developing, but you have to stretch a little with it to call that. At my house in W Houston, we are cloudy with a slight E to NE breeze, which is what peaked my interest this am. Will be checking back in later this afternoon.

Very breezy here in Beaumont. Clouds are definitely rolling on. Feels very nice and cool at the moment. Definitely has that tropical feel.

To my untrained eyes, it looks like very weak CoC was trying to form finally as it comes ashore just south of Galveston.
