It’s 39 degrees in Frisco already and it’s dropped about 4 degrees in 2 and a half hours. Wasn’t even supposed to be this cold until the early hours of the morning. If temperatures continue to drop overnight, lots of DFW could easily get to freezing by tomorrow.

Currently 45F here in Bell. Was expected to be that temperature at 2 am. Let’s see how much more it will drop :cold:

Seems like this weatherman thinks the snow will come farther south due to due to evaporative cooling :) https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.khou.c ... 609dd0a07c

The thing to watch will be the 850 temps, right now on mesoanalysis on SPC has 850 temps around 8-10 degrees Celsius. How fast it cools at 850 will be important.

18z Euro EPS with an uptick of snow members at DFW. Can we close the last 12 - 18 hrs for a dusting to one inch?

Snowing like crazy in Midland. Looks like we already have an inch or two of accumulation. Feel like this system will deliver here.

I miss the days for big winter events or marginal / potentially big bust events when the NWS would give a 9:40pm or so update. Sometimes it was long and included new trends and sometimes was short but reinforced current package and maybe explained why.

I wish they would go back to that.

Thundersleet in Abilene about half hour ago. Snow line just to our west. Moving in fast.
