Must be getting some of the feeder bands that are coming. Wind picking up and raining harder.

Any thoughts of day time heating on this system?

Does it say it has not made landfall. Is that correct.

The bands that are still offshore (Houston radar) look rather strong.....could the worse be yet to come?

Haven't heard any talk of tornadic activity yet...will we luck out on that by any chance? Any indicators one way or the other?

Mandatory evacuation called an hour ago for lower Cameron Parish residents. A little late in my opinion.

I don't see where it says when it'll be restored, but the news channel reported that you can find it on there :s

I was getting some pretty good gust earlier here in N. BMT but most of that has died down for now.

Thanks. This is what I get for my neighborhood:

Customers Affected: 50
Outage Start Time: Aug 5, 6:00 AM
Estimated Restoration Time: Aug 9, 12:00 PM
Comments: Hurricane Edouard is causing widespread power outages in the Entergy service area. Entergy emergency restoration plan is in effect. Outside crews have been brought in to assist in the restoration effort. We will do everything we can to restore power as quickly as possible, but we anticipate extensive damage, and some customers may be without power for several days.

Hopefully, it will be much sooner. They said they hoped to have it back by 3am when I first called. That seemed bad until I saw this a bit later.

I this point what should be recommended is to stay in your house and don't go outside. But to evacuate in the middle of the storm? That's crazy.

Greg, they had called for a Voluntary Evacuation yesterday but I'm presumming since over 30% decided to stay and winds were gusting at 70+ miles per hour they called the Mandatory to get some of those people out of there. Of course you had your normal dummies sitting around in the wind gusts drinking and eating barbeque as usual. Does the media look for our societies finest? LOL It also serves a dual purpose............no one can get back into the area which prevents alot of looting in situations like this.
