Of course :roll: that puts DFW on the potential for no snow. Taking it for what it is this far out, I'm on the barely get any line. Glad we cant trust this far out :lol:


North trend will save the day! The last couple of system have had a nice north trend with the heaviest precipitation. Let's go snow!

Winter time post are almost exclusively focused on the DFW area.

18z GFS would make a lot of folks happy next week. Looks pretty similar to the 12z Canadian. Nice trends today for next week. Let's keep them coming!

Let's lock in the 18z GFS now! Just a week ago it didn't seem like we would have much of a winter and now the Euro has Lafayette at 21 degrees next Monday morning. Already planning on how to protect my palms which are all potted after dying in the winter of 2017-2018 :lol: .

Latest Euro Weeklies keep Texas colder than normal through all of February. Favorable upper-level pattern too. We could be in for quite the ride over the next 45 days fellas!

Wonder why the sudden change in size of the HP? GFS getting a better grip on things even though it's still far out?

Holy moly those are sweet maps!! What a run!! Just once I would like to see a storm with cold temps depicted 10 days out stay true with each subsequent model run with only minor differences each day. Is that too much to ask? Maybe. I do believe something special is brewing the 2nd half of winter. Keep em' comin'!!

The FV3 is usually even more outrageous with its outputs sometimes...wonder what 18z will bring :lol:

FV3 doesnt have the monster snowstorm but in the long range someone left the fridge open.

Deal haha! But in all seriousness, the pattern looks good for somewhere in TX getting snow over the next few weeks. Let's hope everyone gets at least some!

Haha this is funny. Central and southern Indiana/Ohio folks have been using this same language to the people in Michigan who are hoping for a north trend. "Yall will get it good during the clipper train" "Your snow season is like a month longer than ours" xD :lol:
