This is unbelievable...I wish she'd drag her nappy butt on shore and be gone.

Ivanhater I truly wish you the best in all of this. I have a bad feeling about this one. I'm not normally one to sensationalize my posts, but with the entire area receiving 7-10 inches of rain in the past 36 hours, the amount of downed trees and powerlines is going to present some issues.

Most all of my friends went thru the day thinking it was headed for Mobile. Nobody is really expecting 50mph plus winds in the Destin or FWB area.

New tornado warning for Bay County. This time for Panama City and the beaches to the west.

We just moved from Dothan a few months ago. I spoke to several friends there over the last couple of days and they certainly weren’t tracking this outcome. Of course, we were there for Michael having just moved from the Keys and never expected what Michael would bring 86 miles inland.

It is the same feeling sitting here on the exact same night as Ivan. Glad to see you and other familiar faces here though!

Winds are picking up more and over 12 inches of rain has fallen near my house, With another 15 to 18 inches coming I am concerned. Water is creeping up the sand bags in my back yard at my double french doors. Have leaks in my townhouse now in 5 different places and pots and towels out. Power is still on but has gone off twice and came back on after 2 to 3 mins. quite a few flickers of the lights in between. Sally needs to move on !! Reminds me of Ivan the terrible ,now Sally theB!$# !! So no sleep tonight having to maintain leaks and water levels plus whats Still to come....

Do you have a high enough spot in your townhome to safely escape to? I am sending y’all good thoughts for the night.

Latest pass in the NW quad supports 85 kt winds. May even be stronger when it gets to the NE quad.

It’s a Category 2. I’m nearly positive.

The 97 kt winds at flight level support 87 kt winds at the surface. The SFMR was at 82 kt as well.

And a blend would be 84-85 kts. So, Cat 2.

Yes, the second story will be fine. Just cut me some 2 by 4 s to make blocks to put all my furniture on off the floor . Tile floors so that will be ok.

I smell an upgrade to cat 2 with this next hourly position update.
