Swept via airport -> natchez-trace parkway towards the interstate crossing through the west/north west/north side of Tulepo.

That debris ball on the radar says it all. This is bad.

Can someone post a few pics? I am at work and can't access twitter or a lot of sites that these photos are first shared on. I hope everyone is OK.

Does anybody have a working stream covering Tupelo? Severestudios and Chasertv both don't work for me right now, and the WTVA live stream is down.

Another three or four discrete SCs firing up between Jackson and Tuledo. This could be a long day.

This is not a good afternoon in Alabama and Mississippi... :( :(

This is supposed to affect my area Tomorrow and Wednesday but it seems that it's supposed to be considerably weaker than what's happening now. (At least I hope it will be anyway.)

Any chance we get some storms to fire up in Baton Rouge? We are near the moderate risk section and will be in the slight risk today and tomorrow, but I'm not seeing anything pop up.

I think capping is the key that far south, so far it seems to be holding up.

MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 0460
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
0355 PM CDT MON APR 28 2014

AREAS AFFECTED...PORTIONS OF SWRN/CNTRL LA

CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH POSSIBLE

VALID 282055Z - 282300Z

PROBABILITY OF WATCH ISSUANCE...60 PERCENT

SUMMARY...THE AREA IS BEING MONITORED FOR POSSIBLE WW ISSUANCE.

DISCUSSION...CONVECTION IS BACKBUILDING ALONG A SFC WIND-SHIFT AXIS
ORIENTED FROM NERN LA SWWD INTO SERN TX AS ASCENT ACCOMPANYING A
MID-LEVEL JET MAX GLANCES THE AREA. WITH A WARM/MOIST BOUNDARY LAYER
SUPPORTING MLCAPE AROUND 2500-3000 J/KG AMIDST AROUND 50 KT OF
EFFECTIVE BULK SHEAR...LARGE HAIL AND DMGG WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE.
POE VWP DATA INDICATE SUFFICIENT DIRECTIONAL SHEAR ABOVE THE SFC FOR
A LOW TORNADO RISK...AS WELL. HOWEVER...WITH STRONGER DEEP ASCENT
RELEGATED TO HIGHER LATITUDES...THERE IS UNCERTAINTY WHETHER GREATER
SVR COVERAGE WOULD OCCUR AND WARRANT WW ISSUANCE.

Shear decreases as you go south, so that may be an issue.
