:D Just razzin' you...(again?)...

I had my PC off for several hours, today, as,
it stormed quite heavily, on and off.
More for tonight!

We may have to stay inside and eat KKs!

Nice day..

#324 Postby azskyman » Sun Apr 06, 2003 7:14 pm

Well, we had a nice day to finish our short visit with granddaughter Emma and her mom and dad. They are back in San Diego at home for a while. We'll be taking the Easter Bunny out to see her in a couple of weeks!

Anyone interested in an updated photo or two of Emma, just drop me a note.

Looks like winter is hanging on in the midsection of the country, while we're beginning to warm up again here these days.

Glad to see that your kitchen is done in Houston, David. You are handing off the baton to us. Kathy and I are starting a bit of a project this week...with contractors in and out all week to help with a new countertop and some other work. Not a major overhaul, but a messy one just the same.

Hope things go well for all of you this coming week. Do your best to make every day count!

Amidst the snow and ice storm in the Valley on Thursday and Friday, tragedy struck the Fox Cities YMCA's.

Bret Younger, Executive Program Director for the Appleton Y was tragically killed on the Oneida Skyline Bridge on Thursday. He was on his way to work.

Younger had just stepped down as the Fox Cities Marathon President a few weeks back to concentration on his newly acquired EPD job. Although he wasn't president of the Marathon, he still participated in the events at co-insided with the Marathon.

Come to find out, Younger was JUST promoted to EPD on Feb 17, 2003.

Younger was 41.

I am an employee of the Neenah-Menasha Y, which is one of the 4 Fox Cities Y's. Younger lived in Neenah, which he used logic and frequently visited the NMY. He will surely be missed by everyone associated with the Fox Cities Marathon and the Fox Cities YMCA's.

Shannon, so sorry to hear of the loss for you and your area!! Makes me ask what I guess is the obvious question. Why does he take the good ones? Of course we know the answer is a simple one. I will allow each person to answer that for themselves so as not to impose my own thoughts. I will be praying for his family and the area Y's tonight.

Yes, Poppysky, it is going to be a mess in the kitchen, but not forever! Even though it seemed like it here!! Of course, you know I have a standing order for Emma pictures!!! Send them on!! :D

Prayers are being sent up for Tracy at TWC. She does so much for others and has been through much lately! Asking the father of us all to send down his healing graces.

I hate to say it, but with the taking of Saddam's palace, and other areas in the central part of Baghdad, I think the media is putting out(again) too much hype as to how we are in control and can move at will. I still fear a death trap is in the making and pray that I am so, so wrong. God bless and protect our troops worldwide. Also noticed soldiers found another possible cache of chem weapons and this time many got skin irritations, etc. from whatever it is and had to shower off. Also found used atropine vials at one spot. It is used only for warding off chems-wonder why it was used?

Well, with the kitchen finished, I figure I should get a job this week. I hope, I hope.

Time to head for the beauty sleep.   Later all!

David, I'm wondering that also. Why does He take the good ones and leave the annoying ones behind. I've had many friends taken from my heart in the past 5 years and the annoying people will NOT go away!

As for the snow and ice that I encountered last weekend....it was a mess! Slipping and sliding everywhere, white-out conditions, snowflakes the size of baseballs! A Spring winter storm left homes and businesses without power, cancelled schools and co-curricular events, and delayed or shut down colleges and universities around the area.

Hello all,

Am back from my trip to Miami. Yucky hot drive without a\c. I have a nice tan on the one side of my face from driving, the other side is all pale. I look like a commercial for sun screen!

I missed the board so much and it is good to be back. I have loads to catch up on, so I will be reading more than posting.

Looks like we may get a few rumbles of thunder today through friday. Just hope we dont get really heavy rain again, otherwise Im going to be floating down the drive.

Good day to ya all.

Thanks John.

It was fun. We went to see my husbands brother, they are leaving to go back to SA tomorrow. So there was a big party with over 100 fellow South Africans and toooooo much beer.

I need the rest of the week to recover.

Good morning/afternoon everyone. Tis a nice morning here in southern California. Highs should reach the mid 70s or so this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. :D

Gotta do some laundry later. The pile is HUGE! :o Otherwise I won't have anything to wear tomorrow!! :o

No rain in sight here till maybe this coming Sunday. :( Then we can work on boosting our reservoirs.

That's about all from here. C ya! Joshua

Hello everyone. Did ya miss me? The ISP finally got fixed so I am back in business. We got a little hail yesterday (about pea size), but it wasn't much of a big deal.

Today is sunny... cool, but pleasant. I have to get caught up. TTYL!

Its 2 p.m. in the afternoon right now - I am home with a sore throat and fever. Been sick since Friday night - we just had a severe thunderstorm blow through - knocked the electricity out for 20 mins - lots of rain and wind. Moving now to east - SOUTHERNGALE - look out girl its coming to you.

Well I need to go and take another round of ALeeve so I can break this fever.

Please pray for my 8 yr-old niece Janae, she's had Scarlet Fever since last Wednesday. :( She's been on an antibiotic...but as of today still had a temperature of 100F. :o

get well Ticka and little Janae.

Well, I leave tonight for Milwaukee that way I can take my USAF physical early tomorrow morning. (2 hour drive one way from Green Bay). I'm not that nervous, but I'll surely get the butterflies in my stomach feeling tonight when I am driving down to Milwaukee. I don't forsee any problems...and neither does my recruiter, but I guess I'll have to see when the time comes tomorrow morning.

It made it to 92 degrees here today. Currently 77!

Showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow and more likely, Wednesday as the cold front giving the southeast states slows down, but moves toward and pass the Florida peninsula. Today was the lowest chance of the three days and nothing developed in the "Orlando viewing area" until a couple hours ago and they are probably going to dissipate soon.

Welcome back, Garrett, sorry to hear about your computer problem over the last day. :)

Shannon, good luck on your USAF physical. :)

Eric, I again wish you 8 year old niece well, hoping she gets better as soon as possible. Good luck! :)
