cmc has it close to new orleans but no landfall, JMA is stronger

12z UKMET, JMA, and CMC all shifted west / stronger with a Cat 1 / 2 into the Appalachicola area.

So what would be influencing the models to bring the system farther west before landfall? The trough maybe not as strong...or perhaps delayed?

TD9 seems to have longterm effects breaking ridge to allow 92L to turn N along EC... Interesting to see if TD9 goes more W and covers more land... Always complicated...

Hi-res EURO out to 54 hours showing 982mb

Looks like 979mb landfall @ 60 hours

Ok....didn't that expect that..but the GFS was stronger this morning as well. The HWRF showed almost the same intensity at landfall.
