Re: ATL: IMELDA - Tropical Depression - Discussion
At 4:45pm, I had over 8 inches and it's been raining heavy most of the time since. People in my neighborhood are getting really nervous as we ALL flooded in Harvey. The golf course is flooded and the water is getting close to homes. The gully they built before Harvey that was *supposed* to help drainage in Pinewood is out of its banks. Under a Flash Flood Warning now and it's POURING! I know it won't be anything like Harvey, but just being back in my house a few months, the anxiety has really kicked in. Praying it lets up soon.

So sorry. I was wondering about you. Saw a clip on the news about the sour lake area worried about drainage problems since Harvey. Hope everything drains off quickly where you are. Everyone with PTSD I just know are anxious. It breaks my heart.

I know it has been worse than what I thought we would get. Just told my son who is at work at HEB in Beaumont to come home and tell them it is getting really bad up here. It has not stopped raining for the last hour. My ditch is almost to the level of the road.

Thanks. Yeah, they haven't fixed the drainage issues since Harvey, but it wouldn't have mattered during Harvey anyway, but possibly with this. PTSD is real.

Seems to me the center is NE of where the WPC had placed it on its maps; it's very close to Diboll, Lufkin, just a tick west or SW of there. I think that will make a big difference as to where the heaviest rains fall. It's gonna have to make a big jog west to end-up where the WPC forecast points were.

I went to that HEB this afternoon and the water was over my feet in some of the parking lot and Folsom was flooding. Tell him to be careful.

I believe it. A lot of street flooding out there. Has been raining nonstop for many, many hours here.
sphelps8681... I hadn't heard thunder all day either, but I'm getting a lot of thunder and lightning now, for about an hour or so.
