Another fish for CONUS then? Got to think if it's heading NW from PR/Hispaniola that it will eventually find a weakness and head North and NE at some point. Storms with strong ridigng don't head NW unless the ridge is going to build back in at some point and halt the NW trek.
Or who knows maybe Ernesto II.

I assume that's the system just about to exit the African coast. Will this be 3 fishes in a row?

I realize that you are now one of the moderators, but really IMHO it is not proper (per the investment folks who often visit this site) to post something about a "named" system that doesn't even exist, let alone talk about it as a "threat" - especially considering that we don't even have the "E" system on the map ATTM...
Again, just my opinion, but, as someone who worked on Wall Street many moons ago, believe me that some oil or gas or reinsurance investor has already noted this topic and is going for an "early kill", based on what you are writing...

Just to clarify none of the models develop PGI35L which is the relatively weak low latitude pouch at around 3E.
It's the large area of cloudiness approaching the coast now that some of the models have been on/off about developing.

Re:
I would have to also agree. It's very misleading.

Well this wave is still getting modelled by the ECM but not so much the GFS now which has backed off..
Models still (and yes this is becoming annoying to have to say this over and over again!) shows signifcant weakness down the E.coast of the states, enough to possibly lift a developing system down in the E.Caribbean right into Hispaniola which they don't need obviously. Early days but if it were to take its time and track low like the ECXM progs then for sure it could be at the least a Caribbean threat even if it was to recurve out through the Caribbean islands, perhaps like Marilyn from 95 if the ECM handles the upper energy good, which to be fair its far too far out to call.

Re: Possible "Fiona" a future U.S/Island threat?
The long range KWT is very interesting about possible track if we have a system like the Euro is advertising. Interesting the Euro has shown the tropical wave consistently moving into the Caribbean and coming in stronger each run. Will be interesting to see if the GFS advertises this wave stronger in the coming runs.
This is getting some buzz around the weather boards.
