OH LORD NO!!! I'm not referring to Miss Mary. It's the others that have complained about how this board is run, It is run the way it is so that people like Miss Mary, you, me, etc. can enjoy discussing topics, especially weather and not feel like they are going to be attacked verbally.

I'm sorry if it came out like that!

The best way to show people is to set the example. :-) Just remember to take the high road in the debates and let's show how debates can be done the S2K way. Don't fall into the trap of letting trigger words elicit a response that you wouldn't otherwise post. A good rule of thumb is that if your blood pressure is up when you're typing, walk away from the keyboard. ;-) This goes for every member of the board especially the staff.

My thinking is being altered due to events of the last 24 hours. Two completely non abrasive, information oriented only, posts concerning an entire re-installment of completely new bb at WWBB were pulled down and from what I could see it was only due to fact that WWBB was being mentioned. As you all really have nothing to fear about WWBB, and go to some pains to state such, then why act like the mention of it in a non-attacking, non confrontational thread, is such a big deal that it has to be pulled down. What makes Storm 2k very good is that it does patrol the personal attacks; that very good quality starts going away over this avoidance issue of mention of WWBB. I got a pretty irritating PM from an administrator about my post and will not go into the particulars but asserting that issues on this public, albeit rightfully controlled by private individuals such as the owners, use forum need to be handled via private PM only also tends to further this seeming paranoia about WWBB.

We are very public about our policy concerning WWBB. You are welcome to PM others about the site but we do not allow the posting of threads about WWBB or any other board without the prior approval of Chad or I. When people insist on posting threads about any message board in violation on the board's policy the threads will be removed. That's pretty simple......

I will respect your policy but if you cannot see the pedantic and prescriptive flaw in this type of censorship regarding the mere mention of another BB............well I will leave the conclusion to those that wish to make one, mine is already obvious.

I think that posting responses in a thread comes natural, so when you want to say something that may be "private" opposed to wanting it "public" the words get posted in a thread and then we get "in trouble," figuratively or literally.

To continue to post these types of threads in spite of board policy could also be construed as showing a total lack of respect for the Admins of this site. We have reasons for the policy, we published the policy, and we enforce that policy. The Moderators enforce board policy. If anyone would like to suggest a change to board policy or has a problem with it's enforcement then they should contact Chad or I via PM or e-mail. That's how we handle things here. :-)

I by no means disagree, Marshall (I am a limited mod., after all). As I said above serious unwanted mistakes can and do
easily happen in regard to posting in a thread and PM.

From a personal point of view, I agree with the policy. Common courtesy is not a bad thing. :)
