kittcat - ditto what CaluWxBill said! I'm a registered Independent, but very Democratic in my views (okay, liberal ). Sure, this board tends to lean more right, but we do encourage civilized debate, no flaming, bashing, etc. I know I've learned alot from both sides. My biggest gripe and I know it does happen on both sides of the fence here and outside is labeling - "all liberals are this" or "all conservatives are that" NO!! Debate and criticize the views, not the people.
I think that this board has gotten ALOT BETTER at discussing various points of views, but there will always be hot topics that will tend to get out of hand. Sometimes the best thing to do is to walk away.

As usual- I am here, liberal to the core. But after last season*Laughs* I don't participate in political debates on S2K (or at least very VERY rarely)
For the others who don't want to play- take the taunting in the vein it's intended in, sit back and don't feel bad about not playing. I like this board a lot more when I'm not spending all of my time on it with the conservatives bashing thier heads against me trying to make me see the light... and me bashing my head against the conservatives trying to make them see the light.
I'm much happier in my cave. and I get to pay more attention to what I'm here for- the hurricane season!
