We just got through getting pounded here just south of Lake Conroe dam. Now we are getting a steady dose of moderate rain. Their looks to be alot more light stuff behind all the way into Louisiana. I'm sure it will weaken as the evening wears on. I sure am thankful to get this rain!

This is the most intense storm I have experienced since moving to Houston over a year ago (besides Rita). We had gusts to about 50mph, lots of cloud-to-gorund lightning, and a water-faucet of rain...with more to come.

Well it's winding down. I had 4 C-t-G strikes within 1/2 a mile. One of them I could see the whole 'bolt' just across the street. My poor dog has been shaking. At least we'll get a few inches out of this :D

We had one in Montgomery when the storm peaked (right over me). Nothing severe, but lots of lighthing and gusty winds. The most lightning I've experienced in years, really.

I thought we were gonna miss it here in Spring Branch, NOT!!!!!! Of course I got caught out in it too and got soaked. Streets are starting to flood and some of the most vivid CG I have seen in a long time!!!! Coming down so fast my bucket can't handle it(which probably means it is plugged again).

wow. What an intense storm! I can still hear the thunder. My internet has been knocked out for over an hour now so I am having to use a phone line to dial in. Here is Spring we saw very strong winds capable of knocking over large potted plants, blowing pool toys down the road, and knocking down many small tree limbs. There was also even a report from my friend that the Sonic "exit" sign was blown down. Along with the wind there was also moderate rain and TONS of lightening (reminds me of a 2am storm we had back in March). I guess now it is time to see what tomorrow brings, but I doubt it can top that one (knock on wood).

I've had 2.60" so far with light rain and some rumbles continuing - at least no more CG here. The radar estimates for this system have been extremely accurate - at least here.

Fox 26 said there was 3/4" hail in The Woodlands and several reports of funnel clouds. I can believe the hail but I'm skeptical of the funnel cloud reports. It was probably just a gustnado(es) and some swirling debris clouds associated with the very intense gust front that came through.
