2. The Trump/O'Donnell continues for alittle while but no lawsuit will happen.
6. Barack Obama will announce his bid for the Presidency.
8. Jennifer Hudson will win a Golden Globe for her stint as "Effie" in "Dreamgirls". Beyounce' won't win an Oscar but Eddie Murphy will. - Beyounce' wasn't nominated but Eddie Murphy was.

My prediction for a large East Coast storm in late winter MAY BE taking shape.

I blew my prediction on the Eagles though. I think I jinxed them!

Anna Nicole Smith is in the news now and they were reporting that paramedics were doing CPR on her.

She is an actor. But I'm not sure if something accidental happened...and, thankfully, she's not dead yet. So, I'm hoping she isn't the one to make this prediction come true.

Sure enough...she's gone.

Stephanie I too mentioned snow in the NE.

Was a regional jet, not a larger commercial jetliner. Still bad but not as bad as a much bigger jet.

I think ohiostorm meant something along the lines of TWA 800. The last one of those I recall was in 2001.

Granted, Comair 5191 was major to the families of the 49 people who died.

Doesn't matter if there's 2 people or 200 people on board, a plane crash is always a tragedy. Just wait until the first fully loaded A380 goes down... :(

*shudders* I forgot about that one. I wasn't quite right though -- it was a mass murderer instead of a serial killer.

george_r_1961 wrote:1. A powerful coastal storm will rake the Carolinas, the Delmarva, and New England in March. Damage will rival that of Hurricane Floyd.

2. For probably the first time in US history a person who killed while driving drunk will be sentenced to death. This will happen in a southern state.

3. Parts of the southeast US will suffer a massive tornado outbreak in January or February.

4. Dick Cheney will step down to seek treatment for alcoholism.

5. The tropics will not be as kind to the US in 2007 as they were in 2006. Although we wont see anything like Katrina and Rita Florida will be criss crossed by at least 2 systems and at least one hurricane will affect the mid atlantic and carolinas, causing moderate damage. The gulf coast will largely be spared although a small weak TS will hit the central gulf coast; it will be little more than a long lasting afternoon thunderstorm.

6. Fidel Castro will die. (We have heard this before havent we?)

7. The US military will began pulling out of Iraq.

8. A tsunami scare for the east coast after an undersea earthquake in the far eastern atlantic. Only small tsunamis occur however and there is little damage.

More to follow..

Well so far he has 1 and 3 correct hopefully he has no more correct

Fidel Castro didn't die (offically anyways) like many thought he would!

cycloneye wrote: see that there is almost a consensus that Castro will die in 2007,but will he die as every year at this time the predictions are the same and he still is alive?

And I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't die this year either.

1. Major hurricane hits FL by August (false thankfully)
2. Saints get to the Super Bowl (false)
3. Cincinnati has a scare sometime in spring with severe weather and tornadoes within miles of downtown (this also was thankfully false)
4. Snow cripples the Northeast (bingo, the Blizzard of '07)
5. Saddam is hanged (i can't count this, it happened 2 days before '07 began but it did happen)
6. Castro is dead, but his second in command ascends to full power and communism continues for Cuba (half right, he wasn't dead but Castro did cede power to his brother)
7. Terror attack plots foiled in major cities such as L.A., Seattle and NYC (i got one city right, NYC's JFK was a target)
8. Severe weather breaks out for most in the midwest in May...rivaling last year. (nailed this one, unfortunately)
9. The hurricane season will be worse than '06, but not as bad as 2005. (right, thankfully)
10. A major musician will die sometime in the summer.(Pavarotti died September 6, still summer, so yes I nailed it)

You were right on that one, the 2007 hurricane season was worse then 2006. In what way was it not? I think two category 5 landfalling hurricanes is worse then what 2006 featured.

1. There will be a shocker in the race for the White House. What do I mean by that? By the end of next year, there will likely be a candidate from both parties surging and will challenge (Obama,Clinton on the dem side and McCain,Guiliani on the rep side) them. *Half credit here...Huckabee*

2. A natural disaster will make a lot of headlines even though it will not be on the coasts. It will be found somewhere in Mid-America. *wrong*

3. Laura Ingraham will launch a show on FOX News. *half-right... she tested a pilot*

4. The US terror threat level will rise to orange as new information surfaces about a plot to harm a major US landmark. *wrong*

5. Gas Prices will hit $3.00 on average across America as tensions build in Iran. *correct*

6. The status of Fidel Castro's health will hang in the balance as reports surface that he has died. No confirmation will be able to be made for days as the world holds its collective breath. *semi-correct, but I will count it wrong*

7. A major movie star will tie the knot early in the year only to divorce and be remarried by year's end. *wrong*

8. The New Orleans Saints will win the Super Bowl. *wrong*

9. The St. Louis Cardinals will make a run at a repeat World Series crown, but will fall just short. *wrong*

10. A famous celebrity will shock the world by uttering the words none of their fans expected to hear: "I'm gay!" *correct: Lance Bass*

3 out of 10...YEE HAW!

Sorry you're right. I edited to give myself that one.

Still 4/10, unless I give myself half credit for the ones I got half right then it goes to 5.
