Re: All Models Showing Development
We should see this storm pop off the African coast any moment now. The 2007 August 10 12Z run is in. It calls for gasoline to be somewhere around $4 a gallon. In fact, it goes south of Florida and then into the Gulf, hitting Mississippi, like Katrina and Rita. Please go somewhere else, storm. It looks like it will be called Dean because it is going to form more quickly than the mess in the Caribbean. We get Erin in the Gulf, then Dean. That is, if you believe the GFS from this far out. I think it could go almost anywhere.

Re: All Models Showing Development
Wow, I don't usually listen to the radio much, but today had it on in the car. The regional "meteorologist" who records weather forecasts for radio mentioned this thing. I wish I could quote him EXACTLY, because everyone here would get a good laugh - it's a knee-thumper!
Basically, he said a low was coming off Africa that would later become Hurricane Dean, and he said it would miss the islands, etc., pretty much what the GFS shows. Can you believe it? Maybe he has a crystal ball and someone on the other side of time, in future, to tell him exactly what will take place!

"pop" or "poof"?, I'll believe "pop" when I see it. I dont think we should be handing names out prior to invests being assigned.

Wow it's been since 1992 that South Florida (metro Palm Beach County, Broward, Miami-Dade) have seen a major. We are way overdue.

I don't even see a wave yet!
Models are awfully bullish on something whose causative system doesn't even exist.

No there is clearly a wave and its the best looking one so far.
It has a decent chance. I am going with the models on this one.
Lookie at the nice looking system about ready to roll of Africa...
Check the date and think

I'll believe it when I see it.
I wish this darn thing would develop, I'm sick of having NOTHING to track.

Re: All Models Showing Development, CV Long Tracker.
The Euro builds in an Upper Level Ridge at 10 days to prevent the recurvature. On that track, it would cross S FL and move into the GOM like the 12Z GFS was showing. But it will change, so it's entertainment for now.
