I am not a pro met but it looks to me as the convection was forced north by the upper level low in the carribean.

those little dots right in between he green and red..in the yellow... on that image are St. Maarten and Anguilla.
and we have not had a drop of rain

I have a hunch their is a trough along 25n and aren't winds south of troughs usually from the south.Maybe the southerly fow pushed the ball of convection northerly. Its just like a coldfront winds ahead of it are S or SW, why should a trough be any different.That trough stems from the low spinning in the Central Atlantic.

If it were redesignated an invest, it would likely be given 93L since its previous circulation dissipated.

Look at the time. I think DMAX starts at 11PM and ends 6AM...just a guess.

OMG! It does look like a fetus...could this be Ivan's great grandson trying to form? Remember in Ivan the brief picture of a skull? That scares me even today. Kind of like those zombie faces seen in the smoke plume from the twin towers during 9/11!

Watch this loop, you can see 92L's dissipating MLC moving WNW just N of the islands, then that ball of covection to the S jumps N quickly and is now over the former MLC's location. Pretty cool.

I would really love to know what made that big ball of convection suddenly race north like that. That's just bizarre.
