No-one I've heard said it didn't happen, they just think it was done by the US government.

I'm not saying this story didn't happen at all, I'm saying it didn't happen the way the article says it did. I've been on the internet long enough and the way this story is written is very strange, it does not add up. I still have SERIOUS problems with the fact it happened a year ago also. It would not take that long to find a Myspace connection.

Its pretty obvious by now that the "story" is not some internet hoax as some suggested. Now is the story 100% accurate? Who knows until all the facts come out. It just amazes me some are so quick to judge without hearing all the facts.

BTW there have been no personal attacks in this topic so please dont turn this thread into that argument.

Just to clarify, I never suggested it's an internet hoax. I just don't believe the parents' account of the story. The fact that the alleged last message was unable to be retrieved from the hard drive is extremely suspicious. I think they're setting up for a lawsuit, but it could also just be that the parents are looking for someone to blame for their own shortcomings as parents.

I wouldn't have worded it like that, but that's pretty much What I was trying to say.

What I think:

1. Yes, the girl killed herself.
2. 90+% sure she was being harrased by someone.
3. The story as presented is perhaps a bastardization of what really happened.
4. No-one deserves to contract ebola because of a teenage suicide, however the hell they were involved.

Soledad O'Brien was totally biased when conducting the analysis. Journalists are not supposed to take sides - she clearly did. Also, the report did not mention the hard drive. Why the inconsistency in stories? Did the parents make that up and hence weren't willing to say so on international TV?
