Delkus is saying there is still a cap in place. I guess forcing from the dry line would help break it?

Radar shows the dry line just splitting Denton County north and then tailing off to the southwest. If I'm getting something, it better show up soon.

Cap is just so strong, it’s risen all the way up to 83 at my house (it’s very humid) and the dryline is fast approaching, I doubt we see much of anything.

If anything starts popping off the dry line it will be once it's past 35E, and it looks as there is something tying to start up right on the Denten/Collin line

That is one pronounced tornado signal over Lake Livingston. The hook on that bad boy is something else!

So did the cap just show up or was the thought it would bust open?

Agreed. Great radar watching with that storm. Velocity is nuts.

Jasper got very lucky. It appears to be a very destructive tornado over Newton County about to move into LA.

The tornado looks like it passed within a mile of the home of some family friends in Vernon Parish just WNW of Rosepine. If I get any info or pics I'll be sure to post here. Tornado Emergency issued for Ft Polk.

EDIT: Just heard back from them, they were fortunate and just had some brief hard winds. Probably RFD from the tornado as it passed just north of them.

Any word on any casualties? I’m hearing there were multiple casualties from Channel 11 KHOU weather board.
